Digital thermometer sales have soared in the past year, according to new research from the company that provides the software used to track digital thermometers.
Digital thermometers have been a major part of Amazon’s business for years, but sales of the devices have soared since 2015.
In 2017, Amazon sold 5 million digital thermopes, according the research company iSuppli, which provides the thermometer software.
iSupplli has also said it sold 3.5 million digital thermalometers last year, up from 1.9 million last year.
Digital thermometers are used in home thermostats and other digital devices, which can also be used for monitoring water levels.
The digital thermoplastics are connected to a home computer via a USB port and can monitor the temperature of a room and send a reading back to Amazon.com or other devices via Bluetooth.
It is not yet clear how much of a share Amazon is actually taking in the digital thermomounting business.
Amazon says it has sold more than 3.3 million digital thermostat units worldwide, but only sold about 2.8 million thermometers worldwide last year in the United States.
Digital thermostatics were first introduced in the mid-2000s and have become increasingly popular as more digital devices are installed.
Thermostat manufacturers like Thermaltake, Whirlpool, and Nest Thermostats have become much more aggressive in offering digital thermocontrol software, as have more consumer electronics brands.
The thermometer market has been in rapid growth in the U.S. in recent years, according a report from Euromonitor International.
Digital thermostatic sales have grown at a rate of about 6 percent a year since 2014, while thermostatically powered lights and appliances have been on a downward trajectory.
Digital Thermometers are not new, though.
Thermoflex, the company formerly known as Thermo-Flex, started selling digital thermograph units in 2008 and has been a hot seller ever since.
Digital Thermometer sales jumped from 1 million in 2007 to 3.6 million in 2013, according Euromonitors.
In 2016, Thermosafe, a company founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, sold more digital thermos.
Digital temperature sensors were also a major factor in the rise of the smartphone in 2017, according iSupply.
The rise of smartphones and tablets in recent decades has made it easier for people to turn their digital devices into smart thermostants.
Digital sensors are used to measure the temperature and humidity of homes, so it makes sense that people have begun turning to digital thermo-thermometers to monitor their personal space.
Amazon, Whirl and Nest have all said that they sell digital thermometry devices in their home.
iSilicon, a maker of digital thermometric sensors, is also making digital thermometer devices available for purchase.
iSensor sells the thermometers and other devices, while Thermohawk sells digital thermo-thermal devices.
The company said in a statement that its thermometer and digital thermos products have a range of applications, including temperature monitoring, temperature control, and smart home automation.
