Detroit Tigers fans will soon be able to buy digital coupons from the team and their favorite sports merchandise vendors for the first time.
The digital coupon program is part of a broader initiative to expand digital marketing to the fan base that has been growing in popularity over the last year.
As part of the initiative, the Tigers and the team’s online store will allow fans to purchase digital coupons at a discounted rate.
“We’ve always wanted to do this, but it’s become a bit more of a priority for us,” Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski said in a press release.
For a limited time, fans will be able buy digital coupon codes from Tigers.com, the team-owned digital marketplace.
Fans can sign up for the program at michigandast.com.
Digital coupons will be available for players and coaches on the team website and on the official team mobile app, which is available on iPhone and Android devices.
In addition, digital coupons will also be available on the Tigers’ official website.
The online coupon program has been in place for several years and was launched in early 2017.
Earlier this month, the Tiger and team announced the purchase of digital coupons, which can be redeemed on all of the team merchandise in the team store.
